Hello, I'm Krys.
After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, I spent seven years filming divers in Sipadan’s pristine waters. That time allowed me to sharpen my craft beneath the surface while capturing some truly extraordinary footage.
I come from Kota Kinabalu, a coastal city in Sabah, East Malaysia. While the name might not ring a bell, you’ve likely heard of Sipadan Island: the legendary dive site made famous by Jacques Cousteau. That’s where my journey as an underwater videographer began.
In my free time I design marine animal stickers and stationery, as well as collaborate on graphic design projects with clients.
What do I do?
As an underwater videographer and graphic designer, I create films and visual content for Ark Adventurers, a company organizing global scuba and land-based expeditions.
What do I stand for?
Through my work with both camera and pen, I hope to inspire a deeper love for our oceans and ignite action to conserve and protect the underwater realm.
We protect what we love. I strive to use my skills, resources, and privilege to bring the ocean to those who cannot experience it first-hand.
